Spurs tracking France international defender

According to an article on talkSPORT Tottenham are lining up a move for Stuttgart’s France International centre-back Benjamin Pavard as a potential replacement for Toby Alderweireld.

According to the article the 22-year-old former Lille star has earned rave reviews this season after successfully making the step up from the German second divison to the Bundesliga.

The article goes on to say that he has caught the eye of Bayern Munich with his performances and Stuttgart rewarded him with a new contract in December of last year. He also made his France debut against Wales back in November last year and his in Didier Deschamps 23 for this summer’s World Cup in Russia.

talkSPORT add that according to L’Equipe, Spgr are now interested in Pavard too after watching him in with the club likely to be in the market for a new centre-back as doubts grow over the future of Alderweireld.

The World Cup bound Belgian is a target for Manchester United and Spurs look set to cash in on him and Packard is one of the options the club are exploring.

With Toby Alderweireld’s likely departure Spurs will be linked with any amount of defenders. Pavard doesn’t exactly excite and is the sort of name that Danny Rose might have to Google!!!
