Walker-Peters pens new deal

Young Spurs defender Kyle Walker-Peters has signed a new contract keeping him at the club until at least the 2020-21 season.

The 21 year old made nine appearances for the club this season, debuting in the 2-0 win against Newcastle United in the opening game and he added his first goal for the club in the 6-1 win over Rochdale in the fifth-round FA Cup replay in February and added two assists in the 5-4 victory against Leicester City on Sunday.

“Just wanted to say I’m absolutely delighted to sign my new contract,” Walker-Peters said in a clip posted on the clubs Twitter account. “It’s been a great year for me and I really do look forward to what the future holds.”

The youngster has represented England at youth level and was part of the team that won the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in 2017.
