Walker wants to go get one over on Arsenal

It might be a front to try and appease the Spurs fans after his deflecting however Manchester City defender Kyle Walker is desperate to ‘get one over’ on old rivals Arsenal in Sunday’s Carabao Cup final.

Our former man’s allegiances appear to be still as strong as ever as he prepares to face their north London rivals.Walker is of course aiming to lift the first trophy of his career when he returns to Wembley Stadium this weekend, and he says victory will be made even sweeter by beating the Gunners.

He spent eight seasons with us and of course scored a memorable goal against Arsenal in a 2-1 derby victory back in 2011, and speaking to Sky Sports, the England international said: “Tottenham is a club which belongs to my heart.Spurs will always have a place in my heart, they gave me a chance to play Premier League football and I’ll be forever indebted to them.

He added: “To get one over on their bitter rivals, and mine for a long time, would be a fantastic feeling. But it’s a game of football and anything can happen in 90 minutes.They’ve made some excellent signings in January which we need to be careful of, and we need to just say: ‘Let the best team win’.”
