Harry Winks may struggle to play again this season contrary to reports earlier in the week that he may return for Spurs’ last four games of the Season.
The England international is currently out with an ankle injury and he has not played since February.
Winks visited specialists in Qatar as part of his rehabilitation and it was hoped he could play before this season finishes, However Mauricio Pochettino has now revealed it will be tough for Winks to be back in time.
“It is difficult because we are assessing him and it will be not easy for him to play again this season,”:said the Argentine tactician.
It could all mean he will struggle to be back or even make England’s squad for the World Cup in Russia this summer.
It all adds to three lions boss Gareth Southgate’s wow and he will be concerned looking at his midfield options, after Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain suffered a season-ending injury on Tuesday night and will definitely miss this summers tournament in Russia.
