Lucas Moura tweeted from the sidelines after missing Man United clash

Lucas Moura tweeted his support for his side during the 1-1 draw against Manchester United on Friday night.

The Brazillian missed out on playing in the game as a result due of an injury he picked up during training in the build up to the match (Football.London).

Moura scored twice against Manchester United last season in a 3-0 away victory over the Red Devils (BBC).

However, he was forced to watch the game from the comfort of his home on Friday due to the injury sustained during the week.

He tweeted; “COOOOOOYYYYYSSSSS” as he watched on from home after Steven Bergwijn had put the home side in front with a powerful strike beyond David de Gea.

In his abensence, Bergwijn scored his third Premier League goal since signing for Spurs in January against United on Friday and has brought a real feel-good factor about the Spurs attack (Transfermarkt).

Spurs Web Opinion

It is a shame that Lucas has sustained an injury in training. I feel he could’ve brought a great deal of energy from the bench on Friday night. We looked leggy towards the end of the game and he certainly would’ve helped combat that – let’s hope he is available to face West Ham.
