Pochettino expresses his love for player

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino admitted that he was ‘in love’ with one of his players for following the 3-2 victory against West Ham United.

The player who was the subject of Pochettino’s affection is of course Harry Kane, who bagged yet another brace to continue his fantastic September form.

It was a nervy end to the game, Spurs were comfortable leading 3-0 until the sending off of Serge Aurier gave the Hammers a route back into the game, but we held on.

Kane failed to score a goal in August but has been back to his prolific self this month, with his manager singing his praises about both the player and the man that Kane is.

“For me Harry is one of the best strikers in the world,” Pochettino told the media after the win at the London Stadium.

“It is too hard to find the words to describe him because in the last three seasons I am telling you how he is.

“I am in love, like the fans are in love, like the teammates are in love – not only because he scores goals, because of how he is.

“Professional, humble, he is a very good example in football today that is a big business.

“He keeps all the values that a manger like me appreciates a lot and that is why I say to you I am in love with him for different reasons.”
