Pochettino provides update on Tottenham’s transfer activity

Mauricio Pochettino is confident that Tottenham Hotspur will make signings before the transfer window closes.

The club, who are currently on a tour of the USA are yet to bring in any new players, while the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea have all bolstered their squad during the summer.
Concerns about the strength and depth of the Spurs squad have been compounded by an injury to Victor Wanyama, while Harry Winks and Josh Onomah stayed behind due to current injuries.
To add more salt to the wound, Moussa Sissoko suffered a hamstring injury in the 2-2 draw with Barcelona and Erik Lamela was not risked due to a niggle.
Many players have been linked with a move over the course of the summer, notably Jack Grealish but nothing has materialised to date.
Pochettino told Football.London: “I think we’re going to, sure, see what happens in the next few days. If you say we need to sign there, maybe, but with or without injuries that was our target after we finished last season – to add some players with qualities that can help us achieve all that we want. With or without, I think we are going to.
When asked if he was relaxed about the situation, he added: “Yes of course. After many years in football, I think nothing’s going to change if you have different moods or humour. You need to be relaxed, working hard. My focus is trying to help the team and develop the way we want to play and arrive in the best condition to start the season. Nothing’s going to change if I changed my behaviour or the way I act.”
