Lucas Moura wasted no time in welcoming new Tottenham Hotspur signing, Emerson Royal to the club after commenting on his the club’s post on Instagram.
He commented ‘COYS COYS COYS COYS COYS’ and also the Brazilian flag mixed with some smiley emojis.
Lucas is well-renowned for his comedic and funny personality over social media with his bubbly and energetic nature.
Yesterday, Tottenham announced the signing of the 22-year-old from Barcelona for £25.8m on a five-year contract (BBC).
Before Emerson’s arrival, Moura was the only Brazilian at the club but he now has a fellow compatriot to play alongside.
The 29-year-old can certainly put his arm around the right-back to help him settle into the squad. He did similar with Brazilian striker Carlos Vinicius, who was brought in on loan last year from Benfica and has since moved on to PSV.

Emerson does not have to quarantine upon arrival, so he will be meeting Lucas and the rest of the squad in the flesh as soon as possible ahead of the Crystal Palace clash which follows the international break.

Lucas’ personality is great, he’s very funny and clearly cares about the club. It is no shock that he is happy with this signing given it is a fellow Brazilian.
