    R.I.P. Prince Philip

Prince Philip has died aged 99, Buckingham Palace announces https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-11437314 He was a cantankerous old bugger and caused many a stir with his insensitive remarks but was always one of the more 'colourful' characters of the Royal Family. R.I.P.

    Harsh Dose Of Reality Needed...

For me, the lack of any reliable central defenders apart from Toby, whose best football is behind him, means we are always likely to concede cheap goals or succumb to individual errors. When we are ahead we can’t defend, when we are behind we sometimes rouse ourselves, but there is no security or confidence anywhere because we are so poor at center and fullback outside of Reguilon and the rest of Toby. If they want to restore confidence that this is a top 4 side they need to buy two top class CBs at a minimum. Anything else shows a continued commitment to the results we’ve become accustomed to - which are losing games we should win and often snatching draws from the jaws of victory

    Dead Wood Stagecoach....

There's a lot of truth in what you say. Mourinho's idea of rotation doesn't keep the same mixture of players in each formation. He makes wholesale changes and chops and changes pairings. We often look like the defence are not playing as though they understand where each should be or who should close down an advancing opposition player. That is one reason why I am more likely to blame JM when games are poor for his starting lines ups and substitutions rather than the players. I think it was Crom who said the blame lies partly between DL, Mourinho and the players. The 3 are all singing off different hymn sheets. COYS
