Know next to nothing about Pato, but there was suggested interest in August. The speculation has returned. Is this the kind of striker we need? http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/439193/Tottenham-set-to-bid-for-Brazilian-striker-Alexandre-Pato

FA Cup 3rd Round: Scum vs TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

Anyone else shocked Sherwood only used one sub? Or that Lamela was not even on the bench? Never looked like he was really going for it.

    Get AVB out of there!

We dominate possession, have 20 shots on, and we still draw to West Brom? West Brom! At home!! Clearly, AVB and his "experiments" with the 4-2-3-1 and inverted wingers need to go! Give us back our Spurs!! Wait...what's that? AVB's already been fired? Oh...umm...Sherwood out! The 4-4-2 will never work with this squad!! Sincerely, The Chicken Little Brigade

    Get AVB out of there!

We have plenty of talent and they could play a 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1, 4-3-3 or a 4-0-6. It matters far less than a consitent approach and time spent playing together. Good players will adapt and step up or fill in where they're needed. Whether AVB or Sherwood, the goal continues to be Champions League qualification and we'll find out soon enough what these players are truly made of.

    at long last

Very happy with the result, but small sample size. Solid wins vs West Brom & Stoke and finish the first half on pace for 72 pts, then I'll feel more certain about the future.
  7. Sandro decides to get more aerodynamic for Sunday's match. Remember, the Beast does not cry.
  8. You guys are hilarious. Second best start through 15 matches in Spurs history and undefeated through the group stage of Europa league. You act like we're fighting against relegation. Today was horrible, but we've got a defensive midfielder starting at center back and the worst footballer I've ever seen playing left back. All due to injuries. Plenty of blame to go around, but no way we can get someone better in there right now. Klopp? Martinez? Laudrup? Klinsman? Yeah right...talk about deluded. Best we could get in December would be an unproven Championship manager. Better off letting AVB see this through the January window and see what two years with the same manager can actually do for us.

    Sandro Prepares for Liverpool

A beast on the pitch and a funny man in the clubhouse? Perhaps he's the most important guy on the team!

    Going Down Fighting

I don't always agree with John Crace's articles, but he hit the nail on the head with this one. The worst part of Sunday was watching the players just quit. http://espnfc.com/blog/_/name/tottenham/id/1724?cc=5901 He also rightly pointed out the mess in the midfield, capped with this gem: "Moussa Dembele's confidence is shot to pieces; his right leg now seems as if it is only there for balance..." Laugh or cry, right?

He's on my short list of players I can't stand. Right next to Suarez.

No problem...we all probably need to blow off some steam this week. Now get out there and tackle someone!

    Spurs heading to the bottom?

The sky isn't falling. At the moment we're 3 pts from Champion's League and 5 pts from 10th place. Relegation isn't even a concern right now.

    Back to basics

Your analysis is great, but I'm glad we agree on who's the future. The only difference of opinion is on when they're handed the reins. I think earlier than later. If we keep the 4-2-3-1 I would be open to getting a little abstract by playing Sandro-Capoue as the holding mids and Eriksen-Paulinho-Lamela in front of them. Recently Paulinho hasn't shown much taste for defense, so let's shore up the middle and let him keep attacking.

    Back to basics

I'm all for spine, but I think it can be built from youth. Watching yesterday, I continually saw Younes, Dawson, and at times - I hate to say it - even Sandro looking way overmatched. The base of my spine would be Vertonghen and Chiriches and then through Capoue and onto Eriksen. While they're not a part of the old guard, they're solid and have room to grow.

PL: Manchester City vs TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

Boys looked so overmatched. City looked like a bigger, faster, stronger version of Spurs. Lloris, Younes, Lennon and Paulinho were all huge disappointments. Only Lamela and Walker seemed to have a fire about them. There, now I feel better. Wait...nope, still feel terrible about the loss. Ugh...

    American Coach in London

Some of you may have already seen this, but prior to this season NBC came out with the following promo to appeal to American fans. It stars comedian Jason Sudeikas as an AVB-replacement that General Stupid could really get behind. Enjoy boys...

AVB out NOW! Enough is enough

Hahahaha...just imagining Arsenal fans looking at our team more "objectively" than us. Hilarious. But this debate isn't about who's a "real" fan or who's looking at things more objectively. It's about a difference of opinion between most people who aren't ready to give up on a manager and those in the minority who are. Some fans just go about it a VERY annoying way. General Stupid knows he's getting everyone's goat and he seems to enjoy it. So here's an idea if he really bothers you: Stop interacting with him. I know Hastings won't like the sound of that because he won't get to write his pithy acronyms and Mr. Voice won't get to call G-Stupid names, but we'd all benefit from an elevated discourse. Or not. What would I know? One thing's for sure...the match vs City can't get here fast enough. COYS!

    Goals Goals Goals

We all need goals. Some forum users need them in life, but Spurs need them on the pitch. Our boys should watch this reel of 2010-11 Spurs goals to see how it's done! Man, would love to see VDV and Modric back out there!

    Goals Goals Goals

General...you owe me nothing since I don't know you, but I'd like to request you do me the courtesy of keeping your negativity off my posts/topics. Your constant criticism of AVB, Spurs, and other forum users have plenty of other places to live. Or, just keep doing what you do. Moving on...
