    PL: TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR v Chelsea

Great performance! Best moment of the match (on Sky) was seeing John Terry looking all glum sat in the stands watching on as we outplayed Chelsea!

Lamela will be like a new signing when he eventually comes back into the side... a new signing that we are still not really sure about!

Does well one week and then his level drops the next. No consistency. However, surely no point shipping him out in January? We've got EL games and FA cup matches alongside the league so we will need some squad players.

No point really unless we have a ready made replacement available! Agree he was our worst player today, as he couldn't hit a barn door. He does bring energy to the side so I think we have to stick with him.

3-0! Spurs reject Kaboul in defensive shocker!

2-0! Same again... Class ball from Trippier and a fine finish by Kane. Now push on for more! COYS

    PL: TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR v Burnley

Not seen or heard any of the match today as out Christmas shopping :-( Very happy with the win to stay in touch at the top. Sissoko seems to be playing much better. What's changed? Is it positional, tactical or is he just fully fit maybe? Whatever the reason, let's hope he keeps on improving.

PL: TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR v Swansea City

Don't hate the player hate the game... Did Alli dive? Yes. Is it cheating? Yes. Do I like it? No. Do other players/teams do it against us? Absolutely yes.

    PL: Chelsea vs TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

Hardly a shambles. Bad result, but not a shambles. We did ok against a good team in form, who've prepared all week. Our squad is not as good as theirs, especially the bench at the moment. Definitely need Tony, Lamela and Rose back. In fact I think we'd have won today with our first choice back 4.

Think Winmers done ok. Shouldn't someone else have tracked Moses?

We've played ok to be fair against a good opponent in great form, who've not had to play midweek. Not much in it really

Didn't even mention Sissoko as ive got no idea where he plays in this system or what he can bring to the team.

Agree bench looks very weak today. Desperately need Alderweirald back and Rose & Lamela back in the squad for more depth. Very limited options today and no-one who can change a game.

CL: TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR v Bayer Leverkusen

Agree - just a continuous list of errors, lost possession, shit balls and stupid decisions. There was a brief 1min cameo by Eriksen after Dembele went off when he seemed to look good again... wanting the ball, making a pass, driving the midfield, having a shot. Then he went back to being completely anonymous again. Well worth dropping him to the bench to see how he reacts. My only glimmer of hope is that we were without Toby, Kane, Rose, Lamela and Dembele (for 75 mins or so). We've also seen other sides bounce back this season from a bad run - so maybe it can miraculously start for us against Arsenal.

Bit lost for words. Utterly shit performance. Embarrassing really.

    PL: Bournemouth v TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

A frustrating performance. Annoying that the team who played Man City off the park can't play to the same level against West Brom and Bournemouth. No cutting edge in the final third at all. Great effort levels but very predictable going forward. Lamela doesn't seem to improve and Eriksen has no spark at all, Points dropped but still unbeaten.
  18. Lots of negativity on here. Yes it's embarrassing to be fishing around on deadline day to get key signings over the line, but I would say that Jansen, Wanyama, N'Koudou and Sissoko (TBC as I write) are clear improvements on Mason, Bentaleb, Chadli and N'Jie. We also have Dembele to come back which is massive, Son who must surely improve this season, plus a group of young players in a settled squad who will hopefully push on. It it is not all bad! COYS
  19. Reasonably happy with our squad as it stands, although this relies on Dembele coming back firing, Son improving his impact on the game this season and Eriksen rediscovering his form and drive ASAP. We also must have Wimmer back in the squad as CB cover. I think Wanyama looks a good buy already (he is better than Bentaleb and/or Mason so makes us stronger) and Jansen will be fine as a strike partner for Kane or as cover when required. I just want one/both of them to score soon. It would be great to have at least one more regular starter, plus N'Koudou who should (at least) be a proper attaching impact sub. Not sure about Sissoko, my Geordie mates tell me he is nowhere near as good as some people suggest! I do agree our last minute dealing is embarrassing, just not as despondent as some people on here!
  20. I'm of the same opinion. Aside from the awful ending to the Premier league season and the bizarre decision to field strong teams in every round of the Europa league until it started to really matter, I'm a huge fan of Poch and proud of the current Spurs squad. Have we played more exciting football before in the Premier league? Yes. Have we had more flair players in the team before? Yes. Have we ever had a more committed and cohesive squad, with the potential and mentality to actually win consistently? No! I'm still hugely optimistic for this season. I'm happy with the additions to the squad so far, hopefully we'll confirm N'Koudou and maybe one more in. If we can then ship a few out we'll be in good shape. Not bothered about all these so called bigger clubs buying massively expensive foreign players. It's a team game, as Leicester proved, and we will be one of the strongest teams! COYS
  21. Have we signed this N'Koudou chap then? Did I miss his shirt photo with Poch? Good news about Wimmer signing the new contract too. He did well last season - very solid.
  22. He looks class! Get him signed up.
  23. Well that sounds fantastic. He's young too, so probably a long-term contract with the usual 'play well and we'll offer you an extension and higher wages' approach that DL favours. Seems to keep most players very keen!
  24. If we get this Janssen chap - what sort of player is he? A goal scorer for sure, but would he complement Kane in a starting 11 (gasp - two up front?!) or would it be a like for like swap??
