    Dele Alli Dreadlocks...seriously ??

He’s like Jesse Lingard, minus the motivation to kick start his career. Probably should have given him that loan move to PSG or somewhere else. If Mason doesn’t now pick him during the final set of matches then we have to assume there is a major attitude/motivation problem or something up behind the scenes, and maybe it wasn’t just Jose being stubborn after all.

    Next Spurs Manager Poll ...

What about Roberto Martinez? Is he due to leave the Belgian job? They are a good talented side and seem to play well. He does have premier league experience from previous roles too. Could he be an option?

    Next Spurs Manager Poll ...

If Bielsa came in and you could immediately replicate the way Leeds play then that would be great. But I don’t think that’s realistic. It could take several seasons (and intense pre-seasons!) to get the players to be able to play that style, and this summer will be curtailed due to the Euros. So whilst it would be amazing to see Spurs play like Leeds (albeit with better quality finishing!) then I’m not sure it would happen. I favour Rogers as I value premier league experience but don’t think we’ll get him. I wouldn’t leave his set-up at Leics for all the challenges to be faced at Spurs.
  4. Why can’t we just win something for once? Just once. Seriously. It’s so f***ing annoying.
  5. Not getting my hopes up, although I’m looking forward to this more than when Jose was in charge! COYS

PL SPURS Vs Southampton Wed 21st April 18:00 K.O.

After the dull football we’ve witnessed for most of the season, that was a refreshing change, second half at lest when it clicked and I thought we dominated. Stats aren’t everything but we had MORE POSSESSION (62%) than the opposition for once and MORE SHOTS AT GOAL than they did. We didn’t just sit back deep for once and the players tried to make things happen. Good work Ryan Mason at half time and well played Spurs for turning that one round. I’m now looking forward to sitting in a pub beer garden near Bingley on Sunday with two other Spurs fans, watching the match on our phones! COYS

Shit half. Mason out. We need someone with more experience in for the long haul.. Second half of that sentence was a joke by the way. But seriously we aren’t very good against an oppo who should be very low on confidence. So low on confidence and very disappointing.
  9. Possibly De Bruyne out for City and Kane out for Spurs - although neither is confirmed yet. It would be a shame if the final missed these two great players. Our loss would be greater than theirs, because they have such an excellent squad. An odd cup final being played by two clubs whose owners, until the embarrassing climb down yesterday, indicated by their actions that this competition means little to them. It means a lot to me though, and I hope our players feel that too. Not bothered about losing if we go for it and try our best. Glad Jose has gone and maybe Ryan will inspire them to be brave and aggressive. Im going to assume Kane is playing and we see a 2-1 win for Spurs. That prediction is more with my head than my heart. European Super league

But if Spurs withdraw from the ESL that means we’ll need to make the top 4 again. Quick Levy - get Jose back!

    European Super league

Assuming this isn’t just a ruse from the teams to win concessions from UEFA around the revised CL model, then ultimately I suspect the 6 clubs will just be allowed to stay in the Prem, and take part in all completions that they can realistically enter. The ramifications of kicking the big6 out of the prem are huge... losses of income, sponsors, TV contracts torn up etc. The whole thing is an epic omni-shambles.

Jose sacked now too. What’s Portuguese for ‘good riddance’? What a crazy few days for Spurs and football.

I laughed when he said “Spurs? I don’t care about Spurs!” or something similar.

I can see why Levy could feel Spurs have to be part of this, rather than be left outside looking in at the pack of other huge clubs who’ve signed up to it. I don’t agree with the whole thing at all, but if this does happen then you can see how it would cripple Spurs completely if we weren’t in it. The single worst idea of the new plan is the closed book approach to the Super League, that’s just ridiculous. It may work in US Sports like NFL and NBA (where new franchises change occasionally) but that’s not right for European football. This just looks like greedy owners hell bent on making more money and crucially limiting their losses, via the solidarity payments!

Would you rather: a) read that interesting article about paint b) watch Spurs grind through matches under Mourinho c) watch paint dry

    Dulux Sponsorship Fiasco

Well It’s really the kind of thing that’s forgotten almost immediately by most people I think, so best to just move on. I do wonder if it was attempted self-depreciating humour gone wrong, or a cheeky twat on their social team seeing an opportunity to goad Spurs. We have an approval system in place at our place for social posts (plus mortgages are regulated a lot more than paint!) but bigger brands often tend to relax their control process around Twitter slightly as they have so many messages going back and forth and they need to be fleet of foot to respond and react. You can imagine Levy calling their Execs about it though... Who even knows why we have an official paint partner anyway - our main colour is just white!

PL Everton Vs SPURS Friday 16th April 20:00 K.O.

Agree. It is bizarre that we found a way of winning (or at least scoring) consistently via Son and now we get so little out of him. Still good in bursts of course but we hardly play to his strengths any more.

    Dulux Sponsorship Fiasco

Im head of marketing for a mortgage lender and my team run a corporate social media account. We’re nothing like as well known as Dulux with a much smaller team, but there’s no way we’d make a balls up like this. I’d quite like Dulux to actually say what went wrong, as it looks like an intentional anti-Spurs person had control of their messages. It’s not at all serious compared to some of the vile things you see on social media, but The replies aren’t really funny, and are just mocking us. If they were supposed to come across as intentional ‘gallows humour’ then they’ve missed the mark. There would have been an amusing way to reply to the questions in a tongue in cheek way, as the banter can be fun at times, Overall it’s an awful way for dulux to conduct themselves and seemingly the type of thing that always happens to us now.
