On paper, Chelsea look a stronger team but I believe we have faster and more nimble players to cause some damage. Counter attacking with speed may be our best bet.

Fingers crossed, but you need talkers to rile the opponent, we don’t seem to have any.

There's nothing wrong with us stipulating that he could leave for £150m provided it was outside of the Premier league. I would have no objection whatsoever to him signing for PSG,  Real Madrid etc. I would just hate to see him in a rival club's shirt slotting home a goal against us. Contracts these days are rarely adhered to and provided the release clause details are mutually agreed upon then they offer an instant amicable solution for both player and club. Any club that falls under the category of potential buyer simply has to ask what's in the clause and make a decision. The one problem area I agree is that the details would probably need re-assessing annually based on the player's fitness and performance levels.

How fitting that the two British clubs he played for most of his career are up against each other today. Chelsea 157 appearances and 125 goals, Spurs 321 appearances and 220 goals.
    Those statistics speak for themselves.

One of the greatest strikers to grace this game. He had his battles both on and off the pitch but won them with a gritty determination.
We shall never see his like again and if any Spurs player deserves a statue outside the ground then it is surely him.
R.I.P. Jimmy. Let's hope the lads do you proud today.

A very sad day and only 81.
I was lucky to actually see him  in his playing days.
His biggest asset was his modesty. A wonderful man and brilliant footballer.

I don't know if anybody else does this but I never miss. You simply (did I say 'simply' ) have to predict the result of six football matches selected by Sky and the tie breaker is what minute will the first goal be scored in. It's absolutely free to enter and all you need do is set up an account via e-mail address and pin number. The nearest I've ever come is four correct predictions. First prize is a cool £250k Always remember to select the 'Challenge Jeff' box as well. Then if you beat Jeff Stelling in his choices you go into a draw to win £500.

There's usually a couple of competitions a week now with European competitions included.
First games are at 3pm today so you've still a couple of hours to get your predictions in. Well worth a try and it's free !!

In the BBC Sports App in the 'gossip' thread, never a day goes by without mentioning a player Spurs are interested in.
Is simply journo unfounded gossip, or is there any evidence that FP is actually behind these rumours?
I have seen so many names mentioned that I just don't know what to believe.

Most of us would have been dreading this match but hopefully nuno has the powers to get the team up for this one it's a 6 pointer, if they can't raise their bloody Enthusiasm for this then we're lost. Hopefully and ndembele and Hoijberg can actually try and boss the midfield get the ball forward and start some attacking play cos we've been lacking it badly. Hopefully lo celso is fit and players like tanganga need to loosen up be enthusiastic but don't give away to me stupid yellows or Reds. Dele is usually up for this game and I hope he will shine.
love to the beat the chavs but let's at least get a draw out of this please.coys

Borodin got a reaction from Spurfect in ECL Rennes Vs SPURS Thurs Sep 16th 17.45 KO
I am not expecting wonder goals or anything spectacular but he's definitely not the same player you refer to who played in the CL semi. I understand perhaps he had problems with Mourinho but with ten minutes left to play (15 with extra time) I think it only reasonable to see him offer a bit more regarding energy and effort than some of the others who had been running around since the kick off.
As a manager putting someone on with that amount of time left you would surely expect to see him running around chasing every ball and making a real nuisance of himself amongst a tired defence. He doesn't do that and it's that lack of intensity in his game and unwillingness to try and impress Nuno into selecting him that concerns me.
It's nice to reminisce about him but it doesn't earn you points. I loved what the guy was (and undoubtedly still is) capable of doing on the pitch a few seasons ago but the reality of the situation is that his performance levels have dropped and there doesn't seem to be much desire inside the guy to try and get back to those former glories.
Just my opinion of course, but that's how I see it.

Borodin reacted to Jamesinashby in C-virus
I think the thing to take from this are that it says having 1 of these symptoms. As many of those symptoms are very minor, such as loss of taste, smell, sore throats and headaches and if it is one of those, I would exempt it from proper Long Covid.
The debilitating symptoms are fatigue, aching muscles and breathlessness. Having only one of them is nothing like mine as I get all three together along with brain fog which it doesn't include. Also, it doesn't mention it is cyclic in that you have the symptoms on some days and hardly have them on others. I have been suffering badly for the last 9 days, and before that having reasonable days prior to this spell.
It suggested that the more severe the actual virus, the more likely it is for it to become Long Covid. My infection was not too bad. I never had a temperature. I had a very bad cough that lasted some 6 weeks. I had a severe rash all over my body that needed a steroid based  cream to get rid of it. I stayed in bed during the day for the first 2 days. Apart from the annoying cough and itchy rash, it was nothing too difficult to cope with.
The graphs could imply we slowly improve. That is not true in my case. For the first 4 to 6 weeks it was nothing much. Then the bad days started. Then the bad days occurred more often and were more severe. At first there were more of the good (far less severe) days than bad. Over the weeks that has reversed. For the last 2 months, the bad days are mainly very severe and lasting for at least a week, and interspaced with only a few consecutive days of good.
For me they have wasted their time as it will mislead those who have never had the bad cases of Long  Covid. That said, thanks for sending it to me.

We have seen both sides of Spurs this season in the games against Man City and Crystal Palace.
The City game showed us what this team is capable of if they all pull together and we get a collective team effort.  The Palace game was the complete opposite.
There will be no excuses for not beating Chelsea, other than if we have too many players injured. It's no good saying "we just aren't good enough" - the Man City game showed everyone what can be achieved.
