Ericksen

Recommended Posts

Define stupid.

If Levy gets an offer he can't refuse ...... he is, after all, a business (and a damn good one too).

One can always get nervous when a player of Eriksen's caliber get an "injury" just before the close of a transfer window.

There is, however, one little detail which cannot be overlooked with regard to Juventus.

That detail being the fact that the best Danish footballer in modern times, Michael Laudrup, played at Juventus when he was Eriksen's age. Eriksen has, in Denmark, been compared to Laudrup for a number of years now.  Should he go to Juventus now, the fans there will do the same, and that would put him under an enormous pressure.

Now the question is if he himself feels that he is better than Laudrup and sees this as the perfect opportunity to prove it.

On top of that, they just sold Pirlo, who was their free kick specialist.

More comparisons, more pressure.

If he decides to go there, than he is either some sort of football masochist, or he has one huge set of cajones.

p.s.

His surname is still spelled E R I K S E N

Eriksen is an essential part of our team, there is no one else who can pass like him in the side and he keeps us moving. I know he's a p*** poor tackler but

what he gives us is worth more than his tackling would give us. If he were to leave we would be hard put to find a replacement. He reminds me of John White, people

didn't realise how good he was until he was gone.

Yes they did, everybody raved about John White when he was playing. That is nonsense. Eriksen is a a good tackler, and he takes the ball off people, and rarely gives away free kicks.

I think that if Lamela carries his good form from the pre-season games, Eriksen will become the subject of scrutiny.

Yes, he is an outstanding talent, but many times he "seems" to go missing or we expect more from him.

Last season questions started to be asked regarding his commitment and fitness/stamina.

But then again, he seems to be quite a quiet character and maybe goes "under the radar" whilst getting on with doing his thing.

Spurs need to get with the times with the wage structure, it's a joke and it's why we struggle with transfers, we're a big club supposedly but why would anyone good come to us when they could go to anyone else for more money?

Ericksen wants £150.000 a week he can smell the tv money yes give him a pay rise parity with other top earners at the club, but don't be held ransom by these agents who push for unrealistic wages.Spurs are funding the building of a new stadium resources need to be managed to complete that task. I like Ericksen as a player he has class in his playing style just at times a bit lightweight on the physical side of the game but £150.000 a week come on get real.

If he wants 150k a week go and play for a city or a Munich. We want a team of hungry young stars who would rather win something than sit on the bench picking up £££. Give him 70k and say for every goal / assist or motm award you get we will give you £20k ..... In other words earn if you greedy little fucker

My initial thought was 'what a great idea'.

Thinking about it I feel there might be a problem in applying it.

How would you workout the basic pay and bonuses for the goalkeeper, the defence, the strikers, the holding midfield players, wing backs etc?

I like the idea of performance related increments with lower wages and would love to see it implemented.

Anyone with any ideas? Or is it implausible?
