This shows me how overhyped our defense is. Especially Tobey. I really hope Wany is real fit again and come back within the next match, cause he is the zrue hero. Very underrated and the reason we haben‘t conceeded that many goals last year

Agree with the commentators comment......

Spurs don't have any game changers on the bench! I wonder why that is!!!!!

Thought we played well first half and could have won it there.

Posters on here have insisted Eriksen is irreplaceable.....he is because there is no one on the bench to replace him....and therefore on his regular off days we are a weaker team.

If we purchased stronger squad players with the money raised by selling the dross and want Aways we could have had a 30m player on the bench with the potential to improve. Eriksen cost 11m. Had we bought his replacement I would have snapped the hand off any potential buyers for 100 m.

Worryingly I thought Watford were more committed and wanted it more...they certainly defended with more brave heading ability. Deserved the win??

One loss it's not desperate but have to win games against the historically lesser teams.

I am so ashamed of them. We will not win anything with a pathetic show like that! There was no drive or urgency all game. I really couldn’t see us losing this especially after the first half they were there for the taking. No wages for any of them but possibly Moura. H needs to find his form.

I feel it is better to make a change. Otherwise, we are too predictable. A bit of rest will be good for Trippier. I think it also more fair to Aurier to get a game especially against a physical team like Watford.

Agree, altough we could play him in the mid. But we needed Serges strength and speed this time. Our left backs are both shite. But what piss me off the most, is that although we know how strong they are on standards we gave them way too many chances. We conceeded 2 goals from their standards. Altough I question some of the decisions from the ref  we haven’t done harm to them. In fact all of the 3 goals were scored by Watford. Respect they deserved to win and maybe its us who should be taught modesty!

guess, they will be a big homo gang bang party in the cabin with Elton in the mittle!

Unexpected, possibly unacceptable, but it is only one game. So we lost. WIth 34 matches to go it will also happen to our rivals - it has happened to United twice already, but they bounced back today. We missed out on pre-season with so many stars missing it. The first 6 to 8 games is our pre-season. One swallow doesn't make a summer and defeat doesn't define our season.

OK, it hurts but let's get over it and get on with supporting the team.

Hopefully we will learn get some guts.We were poor today, they out fought us bullied on set pieces, proved as I said we have a weak bench especially without Son. if Lamela is going to be out every two weeks let's get rid of him and  Sissoko in January, we need another playmaker and reliable pace with a powerhouse upfront???.

Not surprised that we lost the game. I wouldn't pick Vorm and Dembele in the starting line up against Watford.

Some of the players I liked all scored this weekend: Troy Deeney, Adama Travore, Danny Ings, Dominic Cavert-Lewis

Anyway, to me Poch is also to blame. No matter how much I like him, but the formation he has chosen wasn't good against a team like Watford. He totally misguided the lads with this stupid line up. Aurier wasn't even on the bench and god knows where Lamela was. I know Lamela can afford it, but he really should stop masturbating while watching Porns on pay TV. We need his creativity and I miss Wanyama. Playing the full backs further up you need faster and physically stronger ones.

I know, Poch wants to keep Toby, but Toby didn't extended the contract and wanted to leave, so I wouldn't rely on him any more. How ever, in a classic 4-2-3-1 we would have won this.

                        Gazza

Aurier/Trips-Sanchez-Verts-Davies

        Dembele/Winksy------Dier

Lucas----------Eriksen--------------Dele

                Kane/Llorente

That we need another accurate striker who gives us more options upfront is something we know for years

I don't totally disagree, but with Alli, Eriksen and Moura along with the likes of Dier, Verts and Toby from corners and free kicks into the box, we should be getting more goals from them when Harry isn't scoring. We can't just rely on two strikers.

For me the other problem is how we concede goals. When the opposition create and take the chance, fair enough. We seem to concede too many from defensive areas which, with those we have in defence, we shouldn't. To give away 2 goals not from open play is not good.

I always prefer a back 4 when we play away but I don't think this was why we lost. We lost because we didn't really get going and also because Eriksen and Kane have yet to find anything like their best form.

It's disappointing, but before the season started, most of us probably thought we would have 9 or 10 points from our first four games - it's just that we gained and lost them in a way other than we expected.

All we have to do now is win our next game - Liverpool !

That is the true test, not a one off Spursey game. Win that one and it indicates are hopes are justified. Draw and doubts creep in. Lose it and the worries return.

Oh well! The joys of being a Spurs supporter! I wonder if I take up knitting it would make life less stressful? To add to my misery, I pulled a calf muscle playing badminton this morning. Mind you, I think I went a tad too far when I kicked next doors cat when I got back home.

Childish and puerile comment. Lamela is injured.

Shite formation, shite performance, shite changes! Shite match

I accept it was a disappointment, especially as we were hoping for better. However, Spurfect, they are human beings and not robots. We all know they are not yet at the level that City were last season so it was always going to be unlikely they would win match after match in style. There will always be games when we don't win. For some reason Harry and Christian have lost some of their mojo. That may be the reason - I don't know.  But I don't think we became a poor side overnight. As supporters I can accept being upset when they have a bad hair day. What I find difficult to understand is when fans get vitriolic with abuse instead of simply stating views as to what went wrong. We are meant to be fans and meant to encourage during the low moments and not to crucify.

Just my opinion.

Same with the Elton John after match party celebrations!

Elton would have loved the joke. But we are so sensitive and political correct. Ever heard about positive prejudice? Treat people as people, not as their stigmata's.

Greetings from the HOSI (homosexual initiative) they would have loved a cabin party with the Watford boys after the match!

Sorry, seems to be the hardest word...

You don't know me very well, although you should know me better James. I accept every single player in our team, cause they are playing for our team and I wish every single player to succeed, thats only logical, because thats in the interest of all, players, manager, investors, owners, club and supporters. Right?

But I am critical on the players and don't you find it a bit exaggerated thinking its only up to Harrys and Christians Mojo? If they are not performing, there must be others to stand out. Dele, Lucas, Dembele, Trips, Tobey, Verts... of course only if you want to win a title! Especially Pochettino could have stand out here, with his tactical skills, but he hadn't. He also must have known how dangerous Watford is on standards and insist the team to be aware of that. 2 standards - 2 goals! wtf? Will we ever be that effective? I guess no. But you are right, both of them underperformed. Harry even couldn't make a pass! And Christians shots from distance were lined with wedding. Elton John would have shot stronger (Sorry, I forget we are sensitive and political correct). Just saying!

The defending was a joke. Despite the fact that Vorm must have been ruled out for years (I mean never should have been signed), the standards were not good defended.  6 of our idiots have defended 2 players from Watford and created the space Deeney needed to score. Just watch the scene! But don't tell me now, Deeney is a great striker! He is mediocre, but he is hard working, runs like a horse and will always use his chances when given. Guess, Elton John would have also scored. Damn, again (Sorry for that).

We have world class defenders, but the lads were played out like school boys. Why?, because Pochettino has neglected who's the defensive stalwart. Is it Toby or is it Verts? On the other side why did he play a fucking 3-1-4-2? Copying Sothgates line up. To play to Trips advantages? What about the rest? I will always support Trips, but if you want him to play further up you need players who can back him (Were was Serge by the way? Oh, he was injured for sure!). We are not fucking England, we are Tottenham ffs and we are not playing Tunesia!!! (That was maybe a bit to offensive. Sorry, about that)

The ref also played a bit in many decisions which were questionable. For example, when he has blown back Harry after we took the fast free kick. The free kick on the other side, for Watford hadn't be given. But anyway, the transfer window was not used, the formation was shite, changes were shite, the players were not focused took too long time to react, many silly mistakes were made, too many give aways, therefore the performance was shite and I call it as it is. Why shall we mince matters? The match was a maturity test they haven't passed. And we as supporters who spend money for the team, spend our enthusiasm and time for the team, have the fucking right to be critical. As simple as that! Got me? (Sorry, was that to mean?)

And if we are mocking players and make fun out of them to overcome this big fat turkey, its everybody's right to do so. So, stop this childish nonsense and call people childish, cause thats childish and take it as it is. I'm not your enemy, Its Levy, Enic, Poch, Toby, Sissoko.... who ever. What ever, when ever. I like Shakira lol

Vorm is 34 and only 6' tall so he lacks quickness and size. He will make the save if the shots are directly at him so any shots away from him will go in. That's why I prefer Gazza. His 6'5 frame with long arms and the quickness of a 26 years old will protect the goal better. The way we conceded the goals reminds me of how we lost to West Ham in CCup last season. And guess who was playing goalie in that game?

Trippier, Dembele, Moura, Eriksen, Davies/Rose, Vorm are not the combination you want to defend crosses. They are not strong in the air.
