Craig Truespur 1480 Report post Posted December 14, 2020 shame Gerard Houllier passed away seem like a really nice geezer rest in peace, but does this mean Liverpool going to be double up for it now and they're going to do it for him or to be fair most of the players they wouldn't care anyway would they. I'm just envisioning that 4-1 spanking we did them a few Seasons back I just want it to happen again if we do this we're going to go on an extremely good run over Christmas. I think players like lo celso should actually start for this one I think it get at them and annoy them a lot we've got to keep them on the back foot I can't we can't just sit back with Liverpool and let them come at us we've got to get in their faces and hit on the break but higher up. At least they've got defensive frailties but also we failed to pick up the three front players working as a triangle from Palace I don't think really know did his homework properly the way they dominated teams before. Mr8ball 1601 Report post Posted December 14, 2020 I think Hojbjerg and sissoko are very solid ,,,,but they do suffocate each other sometimes,,,both playing to close to the centre backs . liverpool aren’t as massive side upfront they rely on there speed and movement,,lots off low balls in behind the full backs for mane ,,and salah to run on 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

However, if there is a slight advantage one way or the other, I think our defending is better than theirs. Mr8ball 1601 Report post Posted December 14, 2020 With you there Craig ,,,I was thinking the same ,,,the b and c plans are very similar systems,,,there is a massive space between Kane ,Ndombele,,,,and our 2 defensive midfielders ,,,that’s where we got bullied yesterday,,,just not enough in central midfield.....we have the squad now we just need to tweak it every now and then . the result yesterday might nudge him towards a slight change ,,just to unlock our powers up front ,,,Fulham made Liverpool defend which shocked Liverpool they weren’t expecting that from them Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

In the 2nd half we did seem to lose the plot a bit with no idea of getting back in control. That said, I also felt it was a game where both keepers had an outstanding game with both annoyed at the goal they let in. It was a game which could have gone 1 - 0 to either side. One of those 'Curate Egg' games for both sides - good in parts and bad in parts leaving me frustrated and pleased at different times.
