Dinamo Zagreb Fixtures Reversed

Absolute madness, rule created to avoid supporters clashing...but there are no supporters : UEFA has today informed us that our Europa League round of 16 first and second leg matches against Dinamo Zagreb have been reversed.

Both legs of the tie will continue to be staged at each club's home stadium with the first leg now taking place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday 11 March (kick-off 8pm UK) and the return leg at Stadium Maksimir in Zagreb on Thursday 18 March (kick off 5.55pm UK).

UEFA has switched our games to avoid two teams from the same city playing at home on the same evening in accordance with Article 21 of the UEFA Europa League regulations for the 2020/21 season, and the principles approved by the Club Competitions Committee.

As domestic cup winners, Arsenal's fixtures remain as drawn, meaning that they will play at home in the second leg of their UEFA Europa League tie with Olympiacos.

Madness... I spose we'll just have to be extra ready for this one. Nick 2 at home with a clean sheet and we should be set for 2nd leg. Ultimately just not conceding in 1st leg would be ideal lol!

Some of those involved in running the competition really are morons. With no spectators at games the action they have taken is a nonsense.

Unfortunately they are 'just obeying the rules'  (now why does that phrase ring a bell) which never catered for Covid circumstances in which there would be no spectators. It will of course be amended but by that time it will be too late for Spurs
