PL Everton Vs SPURS Friday 16th April 20:00 K.O.

After the performance against Man Utd this is extremely difficult to predict. The way things are right now I would gladly settle for a draw so that's what I will do. This is 2-2 for me

Everton have an away game at Brighton tonight plus another game in hand over us. If they win tonight and then beat us, 8th place starts to loom on the horizon.

I think it seems as though the heart has been ripped out of our players based on the last 2 debacles we have witnessed. I haven't a clue what Mourhino's game plan/strategy is, or whether the players are just not doing what he asks as he keeps saying.

My cunning plan to predict Utd to win (as I always get it wrong) , flopped big time, so it is no use trying that. I am not going to hazard a guess. I shall sit back, watch the game and either be amazed or curse.

Nothing changed there then.

Arsenal should have little problem with struggling Fulham on Monday night so 3pts required tonight to stop them closing the gap to just one. Looking at the table now I am more concerned about the teams below us catching up. Leeds and Arsenal with 45 and Everton on 48.

If we don't start putting a run of wins together then we could be looking at 9th or 10th position.

I see you have joined me on my fence.

A few weeks ago the forum was awash with hopeful positivity while I was urging caution. I wish it was me that was well wrong, but sadly, the reality has not been what we would have hoped for.

Currently, all I am left with now is to hope we pick up at least 5 wins in the remaining 7 games. If Utd can win the European Cup, then 5th place will probably get a CL place. That will save the club from disaster if we fluke 5th

We seem to win when we are roused and feel our backs are against the wall. Hopefully that’s the case today.

I am grateful that I was moving and missed the Man United match in its entirety, sounds like I didn’t miss much.

I think it is only 4, plus the Europa league winners (so woolwich won't qualify as Europa runners up), I don't think that Man Citeh winning the CL will make an extra place either....

I admit that had Poch made a change like this I would have been praising ingenuity but Mourinho doing this has me leaking steam from my ears.  It’s just more tinkering and having Dier and Sissoko in the starting 11 for me is a poor decision and again demonstrates he is an idiot

Dier and Sissoko together again. Does José never learn ?. It's woefully embarrassing to watch him tinker about with players that are clearly out of their depth. Normally you look at a team sheet and think "Yeah, go get 'em"...this one just screams at me "Everton, please be gentle". Desperately trying to be positive but getting scant confidence at the moment, sincerely hope they prove me wrong.

According to evertons sickbay we must take advantage and win this. Anything else would be a shameful defeat!

But having Mourinho as our manager I really consider watching porn tonight

One thing with watching that is you are almost certain how it will end.

Looking at that line up tonight it would seem we intend playing with a back 7 for a defence and solely relying on the magical combination of Kane and Son to conjure up some goals.

Evening guys, just read your posts and great points. A stopped watch is right a least twice a day, let’s hope today is JM’s day. James Rodriguez must have someone on him today at all times as I believe he makes Everton tick. Bale,Bale,Bale..... just don’t get it.
