AVB speaks again on Bale’s future

0

Andre Villas-Boas has again expressed his confidence that Gareth Bale will stay at Tottenham this summer.

The Spurs boss had already stated that he has had assurances from the Spurs board that the Welshman will not be sold. We’re all fed up with the speculation linking Bale with moves to Real Madrid or Manchester United on almost a daily basis so it’s great to see AVB come out and reaffirm his belief once again.

Thr fact that Daniel Levy has told AVB that Bale is going nowhere and that this information is in the public domain is good enough for us. No way would the board sell Bale after giving AVB their word, plus there would be an uproar from the N17 support.

If we are to reject offers of £85million plus and bring in the likes of Paulinho then it will fill even the most pessimistic Spurs fan with hope ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

“The chairman said that we are not open to offers, whatever they are, and that the player will stay,” he told Portuguese newspaper O Jogo.

“In football anything can happen, but these are the guarantees given to me.

“There was a moment last season when Gareth came to me because he was not comfortable out on the pitch.

“I do not know if it was my response or that he was glad to relieve the stress, but after that he became confident and played with freedom.

“He felt important and finished the year in style.”

  1. I like this post. BUT, still the rumour mill persists!! The latest now being Bale has asked both clubs to sort a transfer out without him (Bale) having to request one??????? What the hell is happening?? Is it not time now for both Levy and Bale to step up to the mark TOGETHER and state once and for all what is actually happening. They both owe it to the spurs fans and players, but more importantly to AVB himself, because if there is any truth in this LATEST rumour then they are both making a mockery of our manager who genuinely believes Bale is staying. That is totally wrong and an insult to a man who himself has turned down a big payday transfer to PSG to remain at Tottenham. Come on Levy/Bale step up before BOTH of you lose the last of any respect the public have for you. Do not come down to Madrids filthy level, who themselves should be severely punished by FIFA for their disgraceful methods over Bale. Finally my apoligises are tendered to Fergie, who stated his own personal views on Madrid over Ronaldo, I laughed at him then, but now I understand, sorry Fergie from an ardent spurs fan, but I still hate Man U!!!!!!

    • You,ve hit the nail on the head there,as always it will be left to the last second Bale will go and Levy will give all the crap about players who he wated to sign.Bale wants to live in the real world and show some loyalty and not his bank manager, yes RM should be reported for the way they have behaved but fifa so corrupt will do nothing.I realy feel for AVB he,s trying to bring quality players in to build a team around Bale but as always Levy has the last say, which makes me wonder if the Brazilian we are going to buy is just a ploy and RM is his destination we have dragged it out far to long. Same shit just a differant season.
