VIDEO: AVB and Kaboul press conference: New signings and Gareth Bale

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas Boas on Wednesday admitted that there will be further transfer activity both in and out of the club before the transfer window closes.

Spurs are in Georgia ahead of their UEFA Europa League playoff against Dinamo Tbilisi. AVB was joined by Younes Kaboul at the press conference in Georgia, the French defender is likely to start the match as he looks to get back to match fitness after a year out injured.

AVB said: “Yeah well on that players that are here, yes definitely. We are moving forward with not only trimming the squad, but adding tremendous talent. I think we can become very, very strong in relationship to what we were last season. It depends on the deals that we are able to complete until the market finishes. It hasn’t finished yet for us, we will continue to do some activity in the market both ways and we look forward to be stronger than the year before.”

Kaboul was asked about Gareth Bale and replied: “Well of course Gareth is great class player and we need him in the team, but we have some good players also too. He’s injured at the moment so we have some good players to replace him I would say, but the most important is, once again, is to win football matches and whoever is playing is the most important.”
