Chelsea have confirmed that they have reached an agreement to sign Willian from Anzhi Makhachkala.
Tottenham had looked as if they had tied up a deal for the Brazilian late last week after he underwent a medical, however he is not set to move to Stamford Bridge pending a work permit.
Although disappointing for us, we’ll move on and have plenty of faith in Baldini and Levy to deliver us a world class addition to our squad.
A statement on www.chelseafc.com read: “Chelsea Football Club can confirm an agreement has been reached with both Willian and his club Anzhi Makhachkala for the transfer of the Brazilian player.
“The transfer is subject to a work permit hearing on Wednesday.”
