Tottenham Hotspur are set to confirm the signing of Seaua Bucharest defender Vlad Chiricheș on Thursday in a 9.5million Euro deal.
The player’s agent confirmed to Romanian media on Tuesday evening that the centre-half will undergo his medical and discuss personal terms in London over the next 48 hours.
His agent, Victor Becali told Sport Total FM (kindly translated on Twitter by Spurs fan and journalist Călin Mateş: “At this moment, Tottenham are a team that deserve to have such a player.
“The clubs have agreed on the fee, now he has to take his medical and sign the contract.
“He won’t change his character (after a big move) like you see with other players.
“On Thursday he will be officially unveiled by Tottenham.”
Becali revealed that Dinamo Moscow had made a late enquiry for Chiricheș: “We talked to Dan Petrescu (Dinamo Moscow manager) but their owners came in too late.
“Even if he would’ve been coached by a fellow Romanian (at Dinamo Moscow), England is England.”
