Emmanuel Adebayor has been quoted as saying that he will not be joining Besiktas.
The Spurs striker has been heavily linked with a move to the Turkish club, with many believing that his time at White Hart Lane is coming to an end.
“According to reports from Turkey, Besiktas failed to meet Adebayor’s wage demands. The Togo international had a campaign to forget last time around for Spurs and will likely have to depart N17 to get his career back on track. Despite this Betting sites like coral.co.uk still have him down at 6/4 to leave in the near future.”
Quotes from Turkish-football.com, have Adebayor saying: “There have been clubs which have been in contact,”
“However, I don’t think I’ll be going to Turkey, there are clubs who want me however, what is important is whether I want to play for them or not.
“My priority is to play in England, I am happy here and in contact with clubs who want me. ”
“I will reveal who I’ll be playing for in the near future.”
