“My situation at Tottenham is not good”

Heurelho Gomes has revealed he is available on a free transfer this summer and would prefer to re-join PSV Eindhoven.

The Brazilian keeper has a year left to run on his contract and claims that Tottenham would be prepared to let him leave White Hart Lane for nothing. It would represent a £7.8million loss for Spurs, when Juande Ramos brought him to the club in 2008.

If Levy is willing to let him leave on a free, is there any reason why he doesnt just release him now to save on wages?

“My situation at Tottenham is not good,” Gomes told The Sun.

“I can leave on a free, even though I have a year left on my contract. I have told them I want to go.”

He added: “I would love to rejoin PSV. It would feel great to return as I spent wonderful years with them.

“I feel fitter than ever. I’m in my early 30s and I can still perform. If PSV want me, I would say yes.”

  1. Go now Go quietly. Leave on a free and take a few others with. We need to free up space and cash to bring in 2 decent strikers and a left/right wide man. At one stage we had 4 strikers on the books, Crouch, JD, Keano, Pav. Cmon Baldini show us what you are made of.

  2. Gomes you fooled us into thinking you were good then you became hopeless, HR gave you more than enough chances & I truly think we would have made CL two seasons running had he dropped you for Carlo when he should've, yes please go!
