Holtby: We want win at Emirates for Tottenham fans

Midfielder Lewis Holbty wants to keep Tottenham fans on a high by coming away from the Emirates with all three points.

Only twice in Premier League history have we beaten Arsenal in the league, the last time – a memorable 3-2 victory at the Emirates a couple of years ago,

With an influx of new signings over the course of the summer, we now got into this the game for once with plenty of confidence of getting all three points at the new Library.

Holtby’s performances ooze passion and you can tell he is proud to put on the Lilywhite shirt each time, if selected today he will be right up for this.

“It’s going to be a very emotional game,” Holtby told London24.

“We want to give everything to win this game because it means so much to the fans.

“Nothing would be better than having those Lilywhites in that away end cheering and jumping up and down.”

“We’ve spent a lot of money, got a lot of players and I don’t think we did that to be in a relegation battle,” he said.

“We played a really good last season – the best Tottenham season ever with 72 points – and we want to improve and aim higher.

“We want to win every game and try to keep that winning streak for as long as possible and then we’ll see what happens.”
