Levy speaks on Baldini appointment

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has welcomed Franco Baldini to the club after taking up the role of Technical Director.

Baldini will take charge of Spurs’ scouting and transfer policy and was the man which AVB wanted – which is the strongest indication that the Portuguese will not be going anywhere this summer.

Hopefully now that Baldini has been appointed, we can get down to business and bring in some quality players ahead of the north London derby at the Emirates on August 31st – just a couple of days before the transfer deadline. Baldini knows the Premier League well having spent four years as Fabio Capello’s right-hand man during his time with the England national team

Levy told the official Spurs site: “Franco is extremely well respected in the industry, possessing an extensive knowledge of players around the world,”

“He will strengthen our football management team, particularly in the field of recruitment, working closely with Andre Villas-Boas and Tim Sherwood across all levels on the playing side.”
