“I never gave leaving Spurs a thought last summer”

Tottenham captain Michael Dawson wants to sign a contract extension at the club.

The central defender joined Spurs from Nottingham Forest in 2005 in a combined deal which also brought Andy Reid to White Hart Lane.

Although he started the season out of favour with AVB and was heavily linked with a move to QPR, Dawson was determined to fight for his place and remain at Spurs. He should be rewarded for his loyalty and love for our club.

“I’ve got two years left and I’d love to extend that,” Dawson told the press.

“Hopefully if the manager and the chairman want me for that long, it would be great.

“I never gave leaving Spurs a thought last summer, having been here for eight years.”

  1. I blame Levy for this failure to achieve CL again!!! Shoulda paid £20-25 mill in January ya tightar5e fukwit and we would have beaten Arseholes to 4th place!!!!

    • Spurs are on the up while the Arse celebrate 4th like they won something!!! Celebrate 4th then…….Spurs will be challenging for the title next season while you struggle for European crumbs!!

  2. another boring and small minded Arsenal fan posting on a Spurs thread, apart from Cazorla, Wenger bought average players, whereas AVB bought Lloris, Vertongen and Dembele, all of them quality players though we were a striker short.
Difference between our teams is that, for the SECOND season, we habve played more attractive football than the Arse and with summer signings, we will only get stronger, so keep that Champions league place warm for us.

  3. dont worry about us 8 potless years when we do get round to it we will build a world class stadium. we definitely won't be building a library ;-)

  4. Any CEO of a major company that left their organization as exposed as Levy has Spurs (by not buying a striker in Jan window) would be sacked so fast their feet would not touch the ground. Levy believed a top four team can operate with only two strikers, with injuries Spurs at times had ZERO strikers.
No wonder AVB is calling for a director of football to look after transfers….Levy is a clown playing football manager…he sold Berby on the last day of a window with no replacement! The owner of ENIC needs to tell this guy to operate the club and stop messing with the football decisions! or get rid!
