Finally, it’s official! Tottenham Hotspur have announced that Paulinho has officially joined the club.
The 24-year-old Brazilian midfielder completed his medical at the Spurs Training Centre yesterday on what some are saying is a four-year deal for a transfer fee of £17million – which would be a club record.
A statement on the official Spurs site read: “We are delighted to announce that we have reached agreement for the transfer of Paulinho from Corinthians after the Brazil international successfully completed his medical.”
It’s not often Daniel Levy comes in for praise, but it’s a fantastic signing. Credit must go to Levy and his board for backing AVB with such a fantastic signing so early on in the transfer window.
