Paulinho: I’ll decide in Spurs move in a week

Brazilian international Paulinho has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur have made an official bid to sign him.

The transfer fee between Spurs and Corinthians is said to be £17million and the player has stated that he will decide his future until after the Confederations Cup which culminates on June 30th in his homeland.

Speaking after Brazil’s 4-2 win over Italy, he said: “There is an official offer from Tottenham to Corinthians.

“But, as I did when there was an Inter Milan offer, I’ll sit and decide with my family before I make any decision.”

Nothing seems certain that the 24-year-old will move to the Lane, we’ll just have to wait another week. He has already declared an interest to join Inter Milan, so Levy and co need to move fast.

He told the Gazzetta dello Sport earlier this month: “I said and I repeat: I would go for sure to Inter. They are a club known all over the world,”

“There played Ronaldo, Julio Cesar, Lucio, Maicon. Who would not want to wear that shirt? The fact that Inter would not participate in the next Champions League is not a problem, because they surely will want to take revenge.

“But if Inter want me they have to come forward with a right offer. I’m not a kid. I’m fine in Brazil, I play in a strong side like Corinthians and I’m one of the Selecao’s regular eleven. I must have the right motivations to leave all that.”
