Erik Lamela is to become the latest addition to the Tottenham Hotspur side after AS Roma confirmed the deal.
The 21-year-old will join from the Serie A outfit for a fee of up to 30million Euros, plus potential add-ons of 5million Euros. He has been offered a £66,000-a-week deal at White Hart Lane.
Lamela operates predominantly on the wing, but can also play up front and scored 15 goals in 35 games for Roma last season.
Roma published a statement on their website which read: “Roma announce they have signed a contract with Tottenham for the outright sale of the playing rights of Erik Lamela, in exchange for 30m euros.
“The agreement also includes the obligation to pay 5m euros in bonuses related to the achievements of the player and the English club.”
We’ll bring you more on it as we get it.
