Soldado hails Eriksen impact at Tottenham

Roberto Soldado was full of praise for debutant Christian Eriksen following Tottenham’s 2-0 win against Norwich City.

The Dane who recently joined the club from Ajax, caught the eye during the Premier League encounter at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon.

What impressed us below from Soldado’s quotes are the fact that Soldado is unselfish in the aspect of a Tottenham win comes before his personal glory of scoring goals. He is an all round team player and someone who we have craved as a forward for a number of years.

Hopefully Eriksen can continue where he left off when we face Cardiff City next Saturday and Soldado can bag a couple in the principality.

“He is a brilliant player. It’s incredible that he has got up to this level already in his first game in English football,” Soldado said.

“It’s great for him, for the team. He is a player who is capable of improving all of us.

“He is a player that makes everything look easy and that’s good for us. Today he made the difference, he’s a player that can support us in everything we do. He can offer us a lot of passes to everyone who plays in attack for Spurs.”

“We know that it’s important to get three points at home, that will be clear at the end of the season,” he added.

“I was close to scoring, but winning games always comes first for me.”

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. Soldado is class. Against Swansea he collects the ball all by himself on the right with a tight angle. Instead trying his luck on the goal, he spots Gylfi coming in unmarked and duly places to the wide open teammate. Gylfi shanked on the shot.

You would agree that Dafoe would have taken the shot 110% of the time.
