The Daily Mirror are reporting that Tottenham Hotspur are planning a surprise bid for Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.

According to the report, Spurs have already approached United about the possibility of signing the Mexican international. Spurs are apparently planning an £8million offer, while United value him at £15million and will not budge.

Chicharito has found himself as a bit part player so far under David Moyes and the paper claim if he is to arrive at White Hart Lane, they could be ready to part company with Jermain Defoe.

Hernandez, 25 is a fan favourite at Old Trafford and the news of a possible White Hart Lane arrival has excited Tottenham’s Twitter contingent.

  1. I’m ready to pop the champagne and toast to the new Tottenham Hotspurs. Special thanks to Mr. Lewis , Daniel Levy, AVB and Mr. Baldini.

Only leaves the players to put it together ASAP

  2. i think this is just a rumor. Gettting lamela nd eriksen will already make the squade complete,so i doubt we can buy chicharito who will want to leave united only to be an automatic starter in another team….with eriksen and lamela,i dont see chicharito starting because we would then be using just one striker with five different mildfielders, like capoue paulinho-lamela eriksen chadli/siggy/lennon/townsend.
