Michael Dawson looked ahead to Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League meeting with Cardiff City on Sunday.
The Spurs defender was speaking after the 3-0 Europa League win against Tromso at White Hart Lane in a night which saw three points and three injuries.
Cardiff City will pose a tough task for AVB’s side in the principality – they have already beaten Manchester City there.
Dawson said: “The squad will certainly be tested, certainly after picking injuries up tonight to Danny Rose, Mousa (Dembele) and Younes (Kaboul). We’ll see how they are tomorrow, hopefully they are not too serious. As I say, that’s why you a big squad, because, as you say, playing on Sunday at Cardiff then Tuesday at (Aston) Villa, the squad’s going to be tested.”
We move on to the weekend’s game against Cardiff and that’s all we can do. It’s a busy schedule but…. you know, as players we love playing football and we’ve got to prepare right, look after ourselves and go out there and perform like we did today.”
