£100m offer said to be incoming for Spurs star by Friday

The summer transfer rumour mill continues this morning with the apparent news that Parisian moneybags are looking to sign Christian Eriksen.

According to a report in the Sunday Express, PSG are preparing an offer for the Danish midfielder if they are unable to secure the services of Barcelona’s Ivan Rakitic.

PSG are said to be ready to offer £81million for the Croatian, who has a £107million buy-out clause in his contract at the Nou Camp. If they fail to get a deal over the line before the end of the month, they will try and tempt Tottenham with a £100million offer for their playmaker.

Eriksen currently has two years to run on his contract at Tottenham and while the likes of Harry Kane, Davinson Sanchez and Heung-min Son have committed their futures to the club, he is yet to sign a new deal.

Reports yesterday suggested that the club had reached a stalemate in their contract negotiations with Eriksen, who apparently wants to be paid in line with Harry Kane’s £200,000-a-week.

There would be an uproar among Spurs fans if Daniel Levy sanctioned the sale of Eriksen this month, with no opportunity to bring in a replacement.
