Tottenham striker Harry Kane is being tipped to face Burnley at Turf Moor in the Premier League on Saturday after returning to training ahead of schedule (Sky Sports).
The 25-year-old has been sidelined with ankle ligament damage since sustaining the injury in the 1-0 defeat to Manchester United on January 13th and the initial diagnosis was that he was expected to return to training in early March.
In Kane’s absence, Spurs have won all four league games and beat Borussia Dortmund 3-0 in the Champions League, but did suffer two cup exits in the space of four days to Chelsea in the Carabao Cup and Crystal Palace in the FA Cup.
Some Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on Kane’s return to training.
Kane spent time recovering from his ankle injury in the Bahamas before jetting off to the NFL in Atlanta to watch his New England Patriots win the Super Bowl.
