Man United linked with £50m Kane move

Today’s paper gossip has linked Harry Kane yet again with a summer move to Manchester United.

The Tottenham striker was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford before the start of the season and Louis van Gaal is set to be handed £200m to spend next summer as he bids to bolster his lacklustre attacking options.

Four of United’s last six home matches in all competitions have ended as 0-0 with Kane said to be top of their shopping list.

Mauricio Pochetten is building a solid squad at Tottenham and now has the best spine to a team than what we have had in many years in the form of Lloris, Alderweireld/Vertonghen, Dier/Alli and Kane.

Over recent years we’ve had the label of a selling club after parting company with Carrick, Berbatov, Modric, Bale and Van der Vaart. Let’s hope that Daniel Levy will hold firm – Champions League football will certainly help.

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. Never gonna happen. Harrys a spurs fan and a local boy. The others wanted to leave for bigger money and/or champions league etc. No use keeping a player who wants to be elsewhere, especially for top dollar. Van der Vaart? We didnt sell him to the highest bidder or a big club etc. He wanted to leave so he could go back to germany where his wife was living. He has said since of his love for the club and regrets on leaving.
