Spurs set to offer Poch a new deal

Tottenham are ready to reward manager Mauricio Pochettino, 43, with a new deal amid interest from Chelsea and Manchester United.

Pochettino has three and a half years remaining on his current deal and Daniel Levy is now looking to reward his manager with a fresh contract which will significantly improve his current deal in which he earns around £3.5million a year.

Pochettino committed himself to Spurs yesterday, saying: “I’m very happy here. We’ve created a very good group, with a strong basis for success in the future and I’m very happy.

“My focus is here, to try for success at Tottenham and to work hard.”

The Spurs boss is popular with his young squad, even though their training schedule is often back-breaking.
