£30 million bid tabled for Spurs star

Tottenham Hotspur have accepted a £30million bid from an unnamed Chinese club for midfielder Mousa Dembele, according to reports from RMC Sport.

The Belgian midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Italy with Juventus, Napoli, AC Milan and Inter Milan all said to be keen to sign the former Fulham man who is 31 next month.

Dembele is in the final 12 months of his contract at Tottenham and is said to be looking for one large pay day which he would certainly get if he was to play his football in China. However, the player is said to prefer a move to Serie A.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has previously admitted that he has to be ‘careful’ about the fitness of the powerful midfielder. However, all we need to do is to cast our minds back to his performance away to Juventus in the Champions League to know that on his day he can absolutely boss a game.

It would be a shame to see Mousa leave, but we need to be looking towards the future.
