Diario Gol believe Real Madrid have decided to sell Gareth Bale and the player is keen on a return to Tottenham next summer.
According to the report, the current European champions are frustrated by Bale’s injury problems and are ready to cash in on the former Spurs player with a £85million price tag.
Bale was already sidelined with an ankle injury which saw him miss both of the matches between Real Madrid and Tottenham and has now suffered a thigh injury which is likely to keep him out until the New Year.
Wages would be a huge stumbling block in any potential deal, should there be any truth in this rumour. Bale earns a staggering £350,000-a-week in Spain while Tottenham’s current top earners Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris are paid around £100,000-a-week.
