“Absolute clown” – Some Spurs fans vent their frustration at player

1

It has taken Manchester City just six minutes to take the lead against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley.

Frustratingly, it was yet another Spurs mistake which has led to the opening goal. A long ball from Ederson saw Kieran Trippier all at sea which allowed Raheem Sterling to break down the left flank and leave his England team-mate flat footed.

Sterling managed to find Riyad Mahrez who made no mistake in bundling the ball home from inside the area.

Tottenham fans have had to endure plenty of errors from their players in recent matches, notably Hugo Lloris’ double gaffe against Barcelona and PSV Eindhoven.

Trippier’s lack of decision making certainly did not go down well with some Spurs supporters who took to Twitter to vent their frustration.
