Philippe Coutinho’s agent has denied reports that the former Liverpool midfielder holds a grudge against Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy.

The Brazilian was said to be annoyed at Levy after his transfer from Barcelona to Tottenham collapsed last summer, according to reports from Spanish news outlet Sport (via Sport Witness).

The report added that the 27-year-old will not consider playing for Tottenham in the future after a move failed to materialise.

Coutinho instead last summer made a loan move to German giants Bayern Munich who are said to unlikely to be interested in making the move permanent (Daily Mail).

His agent Kia Joorabchian insists financial reasons did not cause the deal to collapse.

The playmaker has failed to make an impact at Barcelona following his £110million transfer from Liverpool in 2018 (Metro) with the La Liga outfit said to be keen to offload his wages from their balance sheet (Daily Mail).

‘Phillipe Coutinho has no personal issue with Daniel Levy and claims otherwise are totally false,’ said Joorabchian.

‘The deal did not collapse due to financial reasons.’
