“There are offers – from Spurs and other foreign clubs”

The father of Russia playmaker Alan Dzagoev has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing him.

Dzagoev scored three goals at Euro 2012 for Russia and his performances have apparently seen CSKA Moscow inundated with offers. He is known to be keen to test himself in one of Europe’s top leagues and has also been tracked by Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid.

‘I don’t know if he will stay at CSKA,’ said his father, Tariel. ‘There are offers – from Spurs and other foreign clubs.

‘But I tell him not to hurry. Yury Zhirkov ran off to Chelsea and sat on the bench.’
