Alderweireld posts photo update of hamstring injury

Toby Alderweireld has taken to social media to provide Tottenham Hotspur fans with an update of his recovery.

The Belgian central defender suffered a hamstring injury during Wednesday’s 3-1 victory against current Champions League holders Real Madrid and had to be substituted.A grade one hamstring strain typically sidelines a player for 2-3 weeks, however the club have not revealed any details on be severity of the strain.

Alderweireld posted the below image to his Instagram story on Monday morning showing a compression pack strapped to his right leg in a bid to help speed up his recovery time at Hotspur Way.

We seem to be getting a worrying amount of injuries with Dele (hamstring), Lloris (groin), Vorm (knee), Winks (foot) all sidelined with Wanyama and Lamela apparently on the road to recovery.

Do you think Alderweireld will be fit for the north London derby against Arsenal?
