“Announce Son and Hugo WWE match” – Some Spurs fans react to the first half against Everton

Tottenham Hotspur lead Everton 1-0 at half time in what has been a slightly more encouraging display from the home side than what was witnessed against Sheffield United.

Spurs took the lead in the 23rd minute of play when Giovani Lo Celso’s shot which looked to be going wide hit the arm of Everton’s Michael Keane and took a wicked deflection to find its way into the goal.

The majority of play has been in the Toffees half and Carlo Ancelotti’s side have rarely threatened to trouble Hugo Lloris between the Spurs sticks, apart from a late Richarlison effort in added time.

Eric Dier had a good opportunity to double the lead from a free kick on the left hand side of the pitch but could not get his shot to dip under the bar and a similar effort from Harry Kane could only hit the Toffees defensive wall.

An unsavoury incident between Hugo Lloris and Heung-min Son has certainly dominated the talk at the break.

Here is how some Spurs fans have reacted to the first half performance.
