‘Announce top four’ – Some Spurs fans react to Premier League announcement

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have been taking to Twitter to react to the news that the Premier League season has been suspended until at least April 4th.

It was confirmed this morning that following medical advice that the Premier League, FA, EFL and WSL have collectively agreed to postpone the professional game in England.

Jose Mourinho has experienced more than his fair share of injury problems since he took over from Mauricio Pochettino in late November.

Harry Kane and Moussa Sissoko both suffered long-term injuries during the 1-0 defeat at Southampton on New Year’s Day.

Heung-min Son fractured his arm last month in the win at Aston Villa while Steven Bergwijn was not expected to return before the end of the season after sustaining a significant ankle problem during the 1-1 draw at Burnley (Sky Sports).

The delay to the season has meant that the matches against Manchester United and West Ham United will have to be rescheduled for a later date which will give some of Mourinho’s injured stars the possibility of being fit depending on when they are rearranged for.
