Spurs are close to agreeing a new deal with Christian Eriksen which would keep him at the Lane until 2021.
The Dane’s current deal has two years still to run on it but is set to follow the likes of Mousa Dembele in committing his future to the club.
Eriksen has made a huge impact at the club since his move from Ajax in 2013 and Pochettino is keen to tie him down to an extended deal.
He went through an indifferent patch of form over the winter but now looks to be getting back to his old self.
