Arsenal are beatable claims Tottenham midfielder

Harry Winks has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur go into Sunday’s North London derby against Arsenal full of confidence.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side head into the encounter at the Emirates having won their last six games in a row, including impressive victories against Chelsea and Inter Milan.

Arsenal are currently on a 16-game unbeaten run in all competitions and sit fifth in the Premier League, while Spurs are in third with just three points separating the rivals.

Winks started in last night’s win against Inter Milan in the Champions League believes that Arsenal are beatable and it is a game that both the players and fans want to win.

The Arsenal fixture will be Tottenham’s first game in the space of 31 days of what will be a physically demanding festive period.

Winks knows more than most about the importance of beating Arsenal as a boyhood Spurs fan and having come through the youth ranks at the club.

‘It is going to be another difficult game, so we have to get right and physically prepared for it, because it is going to be another battle,’ the England international said.

‘It is a game the fans want to win and one that we want to win. Three games in a week is going to be tough, but confidence is high.

‘Of course they are beatable. The form we are in right now, it is probably the perfect time to go there. It is going to be a good game.’
