TalkSPORT presenter Adrian Durham believes that should Tottenham Hotspur win at Burnley tomorrow and Manchester United beat Liverpool, the title is in Spurs’ hands.
The host of Drive claims that the fact that Mauricio Pochettino’s side also have a three week spell in March without a fixture due to Crystal Palace’s involvement in the FA Cup.
Tottenham’s exit from the FA Cup, ironically at the hands of Palace means that following the trip to Southampton on March 9th, they will not be in action again until they travel to Anfield to face Liverpool in what could be a crucial match in the race for the title on March 31st.
Spurs currently find themselves five points behind both Liverpool and Manchester City at the top of the table, with a game in hand over Pep Guardiola’s side. A defeat for Liverpool would reduce their advantage over Tottenham to just two points if they are able to win at Turf Moor.
