AVB: The dream is still alive for us

Andre Villas-Boas was delighted after Tottenham kept their Champions League dream alive with a 2-1 win at Stoke City.

Once again we came from behind to get ourselves back in the game and goals from Clint Dempsey and Emmanuel Adebayor ensure that the race for a Champions League place will go down to the final day of the season.

Charlie Adam’s red card gave us an extra gear but yet again the faith and confidence which AVB has put in his players has shone through again. These days Tottenham Hotspur never give up.

Villas-Boas told the post-match press conference: “It keeps us in the frame and gives us the possibility of making the Champions League so the important thing is the dream is still alive for us.

“We wanted to take it to the last day when we are playing at home, so it was an extremely important win for us for those reasons, and hopefully someone else will slip up. Arsenal are strong and experienced but it will go down to the wire.”
