Andre Villas-Boas has stressed of his intention to keep Gareth Bale at Tottenham Hotspur for as long as possible.
Bale was again in fine form on Wednesday night helping us to a 2-1 win against Liverpool by scoring a 30-yard free-kick and setting up Aaron Lennon’s opener after a superb run down the left flank.
Yes, as Spurs fans we’re getting used to Bale being linked with Barcelona and Real Madrid after every eye-catching performance he turns in a Spurs shirt.
AVB told the press: “At the moment he is performing extremely well for Spurs and we are amazed at what he can do for us. He is on to a great career,” Villas-Boas said.
“Obviously Tottenham as a football club want to keep him here for as long as we can but we understand players like this have propositions and a market, which is the nature of the game.
